Alley is a collection of talent from southeast Wisconsin. They
have over 100 years of combined playing
experience. The band provides scorching, high energy Blues that spans decades. One producer called it " a very
cool blend of Chicago and Austin styles". This band is a real
crowd pleaser.
Fronted by Gregg Tucker, the
harmonica playing, saxophone blowing vocalist. His showmanship is
second to none. Gregg is flanked by two excellent guitar players who
posses different yet complimentary styles. Dan Schommer plays with
a blistering style
influenced by such great artists as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton,
and Jimi Hendrix. Paul Carter has a style that digs deep into the roots of
the blues. Players such as B.B. King, Albert Collins and Muddy Waters have been
some of his
major influences. Dennis Benn is on drums and Trent Naumann is on the
Fender bass. Together they create an impeccable blues groove that
"rips up the road" when it needs to - but can also bring you
to your knees. Each member of the band
contributes a different vocal style giving Back Alley a truly unique
sound. Playing Blues is not their job -- It’s their Passion!!
But why the blues? Why
not some hip-hop, dance crazy, can't miss with the ladies stuff?? To Back Alley it's simple - because at the end of the day -
Blues is what started it all. There are so many good tunes that
people don't get to hear. We play them. Be it slow, shuffle or jump
blues it moves a person in a way no other form of music can. If
you're a
Blues fan, come and see a show. If you provide entertainment, hire Back
Alley. In either case you won't be disappointed. As I said
before - this band is a real crowd pleaser!!
